G.P. Brouder, rider of Tessonna, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped soon after leaving the stalls

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that G.P. Halpin , rider of Jake Peter , weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had to change his boots after weighing out as they were new and irritating a current problem. He added that he also had a small drink but today's weight was never a problem for him. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Halpin was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him having taken his good previous record into consideration
R. Coakley, rider of Almontaser (FR), trained by John James Feane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a big raw horse which was not best suited by the track and had nowhere to go off the bend at the end of the back straight, had hit a ridge before the turn into the home straight, got unbalanced but ran on well in the closing stages.
