The Stewards interviewed Mr John J Fitzpatrick, rider of Try And Try Again, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr John J Fitzpatrick in breach of Reg 10 3.(b) by using his whip when his chance of being placed was clearly gone and having taken his record into account the Stewards suspended him for two race days.
