Permission was given for Outbox (GB) to wear a hood in the parade ring only.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two and a half furlongs out, involving the winner, Vivid Diamond (IRE), ridden by Franny Norton, Tribal Craft (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Martin Dwyer and Outbox (GB), placed third, ridden by Andrea Atzeni.
The interference was found to be accidental as Vivid Diamond (IRE) lugged right when asked for effort through a legitimate gap in-between horses, causing interference to Tribal Craft (GB), who in turn interfered with Outbox (GB).
The performance of Outbox (GB) which started favourite and finished third, was considered.
The representative of Simon Crisford could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than Outbox (GB) suffered slight interference in running.
Following the race, Martin Dwyer reported that Tribal Craft (GB), placed sixth, hung right-handed.
