The Stewards requested a report from Padraig Roche, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Marshalled, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse was running in his first handicap today. He was one of only six finishers on very testing ground last time out at Fairyhouse while today's ground was more suitable. He felt they may have gone very fast today and with the race falling apart a bit he was able to take advantage. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
