Red Vinto had shown some degree of ability in three fair maiden hurdles and stepped up on his handicap debut here to score well.

Tracking the leaders throughout he moved up to challenge two out and soon hit the lead, keeping on well to secure the spoils.

Trainer Willie Mullins feels the longer trip and the better ground made the difference. He could send the winner chasing before the end of the summer.

Alis Choice was another to step up on his handicap debut and worked his way into contention turning for home. He moved third three out and kept at it well from before the second last, staying on to second on the run-in.

Rushane Lodge had chased the leader before taking it up four out. He had no more to offer after being headed after two out but kept on well enough.

Mouse Morris' charge had shown ability in some decent events earlier in the year but ran poorly when pulled up on his last two starts. This was more like it.

The Tinker Murray, worked his way into a moderate fifth two out and stayed on without looking a threat while King Of The Chase put in some work late on.

Berkeley House and Missing The Point came out because of the ground. Shanshampshire was lame while Cloncrave had sore shins.
