Polly Massini had shown ability in a decent maiden hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas and returned to form after a couple of moderate efforts.

She chased the leader Annagh Lady throughout and the pair scrapped it out down the straight.

Polly Massini got the better of things going to the last and kept on well on the run-in.

Annagh Lady drifted left after the last and lost the runner-up spot to favourite Itsmylife.

Wilie Mullins' charge had attracted support in the morning (2/1 to 6/4) and was again popular on course (6/4 to 11/10).

She improved into third after the fourth last but was making no impression on the leaders from after the third last before staying on in the closing stages.

Cloth Fair came under pressure in fourth after the fourth last and soon had no more to offer, keeping on one paced in the straight.

Blue Anna stayed on down the straight but was beaten a long way in fifth.
