The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Sort It Out, trained by Edward P.Harty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be sore in his hindquarters post race. The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Blacklough, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed first and Bridgequarter Girl, ridden by P.F. Mangan, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.
An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards rated 0-140 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
