The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,Mr.P.F.Graffin, that A.J. Fox, rider of Six Stone Ned, disobeyed his instructions at the start of this race. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 208, having failed to comply with the starters instructions and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. A. Ring, rider of Decade Player trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and was pulled up. M.J. Bolger, rider of Marira trained by J.A.Berry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up.
