The Stewards informed Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer that No Slouch, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again
The Stewards interviewed Pat Keating, Authorised representative of A.P.O'Brien, regarding the late arrival of two of their runners into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer's representative who stated that they had three runners in this race and each horse was saddled as quickly as possible by himself and the trainer. He admitted that other runners were in the process of leaving the parade ring when two of their charges entered the parade ring
Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that A.P. O'Brien was in breach of Rule 32 (ii) by failing to have two of his runners in the parade ring in a reasonable time before the signal to mount was given
Having taken the trainer's previous record into consideration, the Stewards fined A.P. O'Brien ?200
O.J. Orr, rider of Lily Lily Rose, trained by Aidan Anthony Howard, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen early on, hung to the right and blew up a furlong from the finish
The Stewards fined A.P.O'Brien, trainer, ?65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Happen (USA), prior to entering the parade ring.
