Lee, placed fifth, Crassus, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, Lustown Baba, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed first and Windham Belle, ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was caused by general bunching which they deemed to be accidental in nature and consequently took no further action
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Crassus trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount checked badly after one and a half furlongs
A.J. Slattery, rider of Borelli trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received a few checks during this race
W.J. Lee, rider of Schroders Mistake, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left in the straight.
