The Stewards requested a report from Oliver McKiernan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Another Challenge, winner, as compared with its recent form this season. Mr McKiernan reported that this horse won his bumper in bottomless ground in Thurles, but has generally disappointed since. He said he has come to realise that his charge doesn't let himself down on better ground, and also hadn't been jumping fluently on his last couple of runs at Punchestown. In the meantime, he said he schooled plenty and this ensured he jumped well today under a positive ride and this, together with the ground coming right for him, may have brought about any apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
