No park form on display for this Bumper for unraced horses although On Raglan Road was the pick on point to point form, following a debut win at Dundrum four weeks ago.

It is obviously difficult to know how strong this event was but On Raglan Road put in a good display to win and looks sure to have a bright future over jumps.

Dunguib ran well and, although well held by the winner, was not beaten up when his winning chance was gone. A son of Presenting, the ground was probably to his liking and he can win a bumper before going jumping.

Controversial's trainer had spoken quite highly of the gelding prior to today and the gelding ran well and has a bright future.

Mohi Rahrere, representing a small yard and Michael Halford's Granaruid were others to run well in a race where plenty horses dropped out of contention over half a mile out.

Lock Mor Lad was the only other horse to have won a point to point previously but clipped heels at halfway, bringing down Glorious Music.

Non-Runners were Harbour Lad (lame) and two reserves.
