The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Flynsini, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J.J. Slevin to be in breach of Regulations 10.3 (f) and 10.4 in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and force, and without giving his mount time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended J.J. Slevin for five racedays
