The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Piper Bomb, ridden by T.M
Sherry and Camacho Dancer, ridden by S.P. Davis, where it appeared T.M. Sherry had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.P. Davis was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards severely cautioned S.P. Davis and advised him to ride with more care in future. .
