Isabeau shows plenty of pace on debut
We put the blinkers on her because she wasn't doing a stroke at home and she was slow to come. I thought I would give her a run and educate her. I learned here before that you need to break well and you need a bit of experience and if you don't have experience a bit of headgear goes a long way up here. It has stood her well. She has just got a little bit lonely in front and she should improve a lot for the run. I'm delighted with that. Coming here I thought if she was placed I would have been happy.
Martini shakes them up
She's owned by lovely people, Barouche Stud, and I'm delighted to get the first winner for them this year. She's a small, little filly but she has a big heart. She's a well-bred filly so it's very important to get a win for her, I'm delighted. She stuck it out very well and Nathan gave her a good ride. She's only a small filly and he took 7lb off her back - she only weighs 400 kilos. I thought it was important to get the weight off her. She has shown plenty and we'll try and sneak a bit of black type with her before the end of the year. That'll be the aim as she is one for the breeding paddocks in time.
Crosse doubles up at Down Royal on Polly Douglas
I saw him (Nathan Crosse) riding Willie's horse (Black Martini in the preceding race) and that's exactly how I wanted him to ride her. She was a little bit tapped for toe early on but she got a nice run through. She's hardy and takes a bit of driving. We are delighted. She has been a great servant and that's six races she has won now. That's her owner David Mooney's 25th winner in all and it is 25 years since he was here last with a winner. She is going to be covered next week by Buratino, so we are hoping that might knock another few pounds out of her. There's a (50-80) handicap in the Curragh and we will wait for that.

Monaco Rose blooms at 16/1 in feature
It's only her second run for us. She had a good run in Navan for us on her first run and got a bit tired. I just thought the way the ground came for us that we would make better use of her if they were going no gallop. He (Andrew Slattery) said she kept at it. The owner bought her at the Sales and didn't pay dear for her. Any time she won in England (for Richard Fahey) she was ridden handy too and kept galloping. Yeah we'll have a bit of fun with her over that trip and on that ground and she will definitely get a bit further.

Latoyah gets deserved victory in North
The last day I thought it was an exceptionally hot maiden and I think she improved off the run the last day because I worked her the other day with a filly that was third and she was all over her. I knew coming here she was in good form. She definitely is improving all the time. It all depends what the handicapper does. The owner was thinking about that (Galway) a while ago and that we might freshen her up for there. I said we would get our wins first and then see. It could be an option in the long run but Galway is still a long way away. She seems to be able to stay a mile and two, a mile and a half - I think a mile and two is her best trip.
