Dome takes nursery in Style
We know at home that she's got tons of ability but it's just taken a little while to get it out of her,. Watching her at home she has a serious engine. I have to thank Derek Veitch (owner of Ringfort Stud) for having patience with me. Hopefully now she'll come forward from that. Robbie said she just loved how the whole race panned out. He said she liked being held and taken back during the race, then she put her head down and galloped to the line which was brilliant. She's a home-bred, one part of me doesn't want her getting too high a mark but for the breeder it might be better. She wouldn't getting a big rise for that though. I'll talk to Derek and look at the program for her now.

Shadow sees 'Long Wait' burdened with another silver
That was great. He's a horse that showed a bit early, had a bit of a setback mid-season, came back with a nice run last time and delivered there today,. It was a lovely ride by Conor to produce him to collar them near the line. Hopefully there is more improvement in him, he looks like a horse that should, and he might even get a bit further. He's for a very nice owner who has been very patient with him so he thoroughly deserves it.
"Great team" Magi Gal and Siobhan Rutledge combine for a 3rd win
That was brilliant, what a ride!. She lost five lengths at the start, she's always done that, but we don't want to rev her up because she can actually be keen. There is a fine line between sending her mad doing stalls work with her and getting her to jump out halfway on terms. She's very tough and genuine when she does get going. She had to be there because she's tiny and had to battle through the gap. The two of them are a great team and that's their third win together. It was a brilliant performance by horse and rider and I'm delighted for both of them. She's going to go up again, and she hasn't dropped that much actually, but she's not getting any worse anyway and there might be a little bit more in her. She always gives her all and is just a great little mare. I'm delighted for the two of them, they deserve it.

39/1 Dundalk brace for McConnell
He's another tricky horse, he can be keen and if he gets a run on you at all he wastes his own energy. Shane gave him a lovely ride and got him switched off. He said he still had a go at him in the early part of the race but he got switched off and got on to the backs of the leaders when they slowed it down. He won well and is a nice horse. He'll probably jump hurdles too and is one to look forward to. We'll get him out again here and hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on us. He has a turn of foot over that trip but if he doesn't settle he hasn't got it.
