For-sale Bashful Boy gains maiden win
I thought he was a bit far back early but Kevin said rather than be caught four wide he’d drop him in. He showed a good turn of foot and stayed out the trip well. He ran a cracker here the last day. He jumps hurdles and is for sale. There is a strong wind across the track but he was genuine and hit the line well.
The Mouse Doctor registers fourth career win
he’s (The Mouse Doctor)consistent and is in great order. Things didn’t quite go his way when fourth here last time but they went his way tonight.
Longines International runner-up bags Dundalk double
Able Jack bags second win in five days
he seems to have found his form again and obviously the cheek pieces are working. I had him entered so he could run in a 45-65 handicap again. We’ll give him a little bit of a break over the Christmas and see what we’ll do then, Luke gave him a great ride.
Deja vu '1-2' for Lord Rapscallion
he came out of the last race really well but I thought it was going to be a bit of a tougher ask today meeting Jessie’s (Harrington) horse (Calling Time) on different terms. We have done okay with these Alhebayebs but they are taking time. He has plenty of ability and has clicked into gear now. He likes the surface and the eye shields have definitely helped him.
Australian-bred Irish Guineas entrant wins at Dundalk
he’s not qualified for maidens over here and had to take on experienced rivals (at Chelmsford) in England and again today. For the first half-mile I was struggling to get him to travel but as the tempo increased he warmed into it.
Romantically wins Dundalk's finale
the step up in trip suited her and Nathan (Cross, winning jockey) was very positive which was important. I’m delighted for Johnny Connaughton, he bred her himself and it’s important to get a win for her for breeding purposes.
