Midnight Game is a lot stronger this year but when I took the quarter sheet off him on the parade ring, I thought he looked big and I was a bit worried. Maybe he is better with that bit of strength though. His jumping seems to be sharper this season and we'll probably move him up to a Grade 3 race next - he looks to have plenty of gears.

it takes two runs to get her settled and she'll go to Leopardstown at Christmas for a two miles handicap chase next. She is rated a good bit lower over hurdles and will go back hurdling at some stage.

Mount Benbulben has got a right engine if we can get his jumping right. He is a bit sketchy and it was a good performance considering he was nearly on the ground (at the second fence). We'll look for something over Christmas and he's entered in the three miles Grade 1 Fort Leney Chase at Leopardstown and he'd have no trouble staying that trip.

it wasn't the plan to make the running but he showed a bit of character at the start and Paul (Townend) let him go on. I'm glad it worked out but it wasn't he plan!. The ground is as heavy as he'd want it . we'll see what the handicapper does but he got a fair 'dart' for winning by a few lengths at Cork and he'll now get an entry for the Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot in a few weeks.

that's great I'm absolutely delighted and for the horse more than anything! Davy said he went down like an old pro today . he was only a baby last year. As soon as he jumped the third last he put the race to bed in a flash. We probably should have left him alone after the fall he got at Leopardstown as he was never right after that. Today's win will leave him right to have a go at something better. Ruby (Walsh) told me last year to look after him as I'll never have another one like him. Gigginstown have so much ammunition so Eddie (O'Leary, Racing Manager) and the lads will have to decide where he'll go next.

Owen Mc was never really traveling as well as the last day although once he got halfway up the straight he was always going to win. He was nothing like as impressive as the last day but he is only a four year old. There's a bumper in Navan before Christmas for him where there are no penalties but that may come a bit quick.
