Emily an easy winner at Listowel
She was very disappointing at Tipperary but Ruby (Walsh, jockey then) said to step her up in trip on easier ground. She jumped very well today and we'll see what the handicapper does but we'll try to stick to mares' races and might go for a mares' beginners chase. That's her ground and there's no point keeping her in unless the ground stays soft.
Father & son win Listowel h'cap with veteran
I had a look around after the third last and couldn't believe how far clear I was. We were a bit worried about the ground coming here as you wouldn't expect it to be soft to heavy on June 1 but it actually rode alright. He schooled over fences last week and could go for a beginners chase next.
Kerry National hero wins again at Listowel
He got away with the ground but was one of the ones certain to stay. For the money it was a weak race but I'm delighted to win again with him. I'll freshen up him now and while he probably isn't entitled to run in the Galway Plate he'll go there next and end up back here for the Kerry National again.
Straightforward win for Horendus Hulabaloo
he has taken well to fences and coped with that ground. He'll have no problem on better ground and I've no immediate plan.
Gentle Cloud makes it five in-a-row
I was going to leave him off after his win at Killarney as I thought the ground would get too hard but a few pieces of work recently had him right for today and the ground suited him. He'll be left off now and will come back for Open Lightweights and more hunters chases and I'd love to run him in the Foxhunters (Chase at Cheltenham) - he missed it last year as he had a virus.
Quart flops as Bigbadjohn springs surprise
That was good and he's a proper horse. We got his wind done after his win the last day and while we were a bit worried about the ground it probably suited him at the end of the day. He's an out and out chaser and not really a bumper type and is for sale. That's my first racecourse winner for his owner Godfrey Moylan.
