Weld & McNamara continue winning run
Hidden Universe will go for a winners' of one race next and jumped big and safe today. He would be better suited by a stronger pace and a lead but he is potentially a horse with a big future.
Sailors Warn causes upset
that made up for a series of disappointments and he didn't jump well enough at Fairyhouse the last day. I thought coming here today that if he was in the first four I'd be delighted with him although a few of the others may not have been at their best today. I was thinking of running him in the Fred Winter Hurdle at Cheltenham but he may now go for the Grade 1 race here on Hennessy day in February.
Ned Of The Hill wins for Dorans
I thought he might need the run and he is a big baby who liked the ground. It's a great family win.
Dubh delivers as Mikael flops
I was a bit disappointed with him the last day at Fairyhouse but he jumped brilliant today. I always thought the world of him but did think he always wanted two and a half miles.
Askthemaster scores for Tyner/Enright
McNamara leads the way with double
I am pleased and relieved after that! Andrew felt he wasn't suited by making his own running but that was just the way things worked out. Hopefully he'll prove good enough to go to Cheltenham for something but I'll talk with JP (McManus, owner) and decide plans. He'll have one more run before Cheltenham anyway.
Elliott Optimistic as McNamara doubles up
Bold Optimist is still a big baby and hadn't worked beyond 12 furlongs yet although he never came off the bridle! He looks a proper horse.
