Demi Plie We always thought she had the ability to win one but she has her own ideas sometimes and the cheek-pieces seemed to work,. It's great to get a win out of her as she's a well-bred filly. We'll find something similar now, that's her level. She's just getting away with that ground and probably wants a bit more of a dig in it. We'll run away with her and try and win as much as we can with her.

Still Standing We have had a bit of a frustrating summer with him because he doesn't want to go on the very quick ground and got held up a little in the spring,. He is going to come good and hopefully have a good autumn campaign. He didn't act around Ballinrobe and Colm got him up to win on the line but has won here impressively. Hopefully he might sneak into one of the big handicaps on Champions Weekend now. He has a lot of pace but 1m3f-1m4f are his ideal trips. Mrs Patino (owner) loves Mastercraftman's and she bought him last year to eventually stand as a stallion but he'll race on again next year. Mrs representing

Still Standing I got a little bit impeded jumping out but he hasn't run for a long time and he's entitled to be a little bit rusty. I just rode a race then and we went a nice even pace and we kept picking up every furlong. He got very unbalanced with me turning in — it's a track that takes a little bit of experience and I thought that if I hit him, as we raced down to the furlong marker, I'd unbalance him even more. I'd have taken a beating for him to gain more long term but in fairness he did it well and he's one that Jessie has always liked. It's nice to see him go and win after a long time off.

Erin she had a good run the last day. She's still a big, raw mare and she's improving away. She did it nicely. She's straight-forward, uncomplicated, so there was no point getting her in behind them so I kept it simple on her, kept her out on some fresh ground, and she did it nicely.

Easy Gold He sticking at it up the straight and I thought if the leader might miss the last I was staying at it, I was fortunate enough he came down but you never like to see that happening. Up to the line he was very lairy and I thought he had plenty left. He's a horse that took the few runs over hurdles, he was very backward and green. He's really getting the hang of jumping now and he stayed going today which is probably because of fitness after the couple of runs. Anything less than three miles and you'd have to ride him more positively. I'd say there might be a bit of improvement in him, he's a horse that doesn't show much at home. It was his third run over hurdles. He had a run behind Le Richebourg in Killarney in a very hot maiden hurdle over two miles. It was way too sharp for him and I thought he ran well that day. Paul thought he'd come on a lot from his break the next day. He was right and thankfully Paul was on the other one today!

Gone Dancin She's a mare that has a very bright future. I would have been very disappointed if she hadn't won. She jumps a hurdle well and I'll have to talk to the owners to see if she goes for a winner's of one (bumper) or hurdling. I'm delighted for the owners who are from Dublin and couldn't be in Down Royal tonight. They have been very patient.

Conron I've always thought he was a really good horse and I was dying to run him on the Flat but he's only rated 34 and I couldn't get him into anything. He was to run in Cork but he went ballistic in the box going down and trod on his shoe. He's actually still got staples in his forehead. I said we'd come here near home and he might get to the racecourse without committing suicide!. I schooled him last week and he jumped wonderfully but I had no idea whether he'd stay. He was ridden handily and made a slight mistake at the second last but Paddy said he was only getting going. Suddenly he just picked up. It's great for John O'Hagan as he has two horses with me and the other one is Charcor which finished third in a maiden at Tipperary the other night. I have no idea how good a race that was but we'll go for a novice now. He obviously loves good ground. I might put him into a Flat race also.

Beckwith Place He's a lovely horse and we've always liked him. We just made a decision to come down here because the ground was a little bit easier for him. I don't know where we are going with him next but hopefully he'll improve from that. He's a big horse and he's on the up. Ronan gave him a lovely ride because mentally he's a little bit immature. That race will improve him every way hopefully, mentally and physically. His run in Gowran was a good one and he's one to look forward to.

Hand On Heart She’s not the best work horse at home but if she keeps doing it on the track it doesn’t really matter. She’s won two races now nicely and we’ll probably go for something like the Victor McCalmont (at Gowran Park). I didn’t know what to expect coming here but it’s worked out.
