Well Set Up Her owner/breeder Jean Corrigan passed a month ago and the whole family would be proud,. Jean used to get great craic out of her and was proud of her. It is a good day for her daughter Emily and her husband Des but it's a pity Jean isn't here. Her next plan is to go in-foal but she might go for the 2m4f Grade 1 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse. We'll see what the connections want to do but she has been absolutely brilliant. We are thinking about sending her to Getaway. I have five or six horses in training and I have a couple of nice young horses coming along and have some for the flat too.

Sassy Yet Classy In fairness to her, she won her bumper on soft ground at Listowel a couple of years ago but she has never really had the ground she wanted. Davy said he went wider than he wanted the whole way but he wanted to keep her in a rhythm and she probably wants further. It's great for the lads (AP Partnership) from Kerry as they had a winner at the point-to-point in Punchestown also today with a horse trained by Cian Collins, who works with me in the yard. It's great for them and this mare will go for something similar next.

Opposites Attract He got knocked into at halfway and unbalanced and he (Conor Maxwell) took time to get him going again. He liked the way he toughed it out though,. He said for a horse who wasn't enjoying himself and things weren't going right for he toughed it out well. He said they went a good gallop and it rode a good race. Onwards and upwards. I did say myself he would appreciate a bit of nicer ground when he won here on St Stephen's Day. He'll get further. I just thought at the back of the last he will stay at it and stay at it. He's tough, the more you dig into him the more he finds for you. He's in a few races at Cheltenham and the lads (owners, Slattery Bloodstock Limited) would love to go - we'll see how he comes out of this and we will assess it then sure. We might step him up in trip to three miles.

Moyode Gold she had been schooling over hurdles and fences and is naturally a very good jumper so I couldn't believe she fell here (on New Year's Day), I suppose any horse can fall. Aine (O'Connor) rode her a couple of times in bumpers and she was just too slow. Today again she came off the bridle turning in but the farther she'll go the better she's going to be. She's a grand mare and works better at home than a few of the other mares that have won. I was surprised she didn't run better in a bumper but obviously she just wants a proper trip and something to jump. She's something to look forward to hopefully. The young lad is still going well with that 7lb and it was for very important owners, the wife and and the mother-in-law. She also got a five grand bonus there for fillies so it was a good day out.

Opposites Attract He's improving from every run and getting a bit stronger which you like to see. Conor just said he was always happy with him on the bridle. They went a nice gallop today and at the top of the hill he was happy. I'd say he would probably want nicer ground, he's a big galloper. He wants further and he's a nice horse.

Well Set Up She is a very tough mare and is an out-and-out stayer, . We were a little bit worried because they went no gallop but she also showed a turn of foot to win and I'm delighted. She is tough and grinds it out and is a hardy bit of stuff. There is the Dorans Pride Novice Hurdle for her next at Limerick over Christmas or else she could for the 2m4f Grade 1 novice at Naas in January but she'll tell us where to go. It is a good boost for her owner/breeder Jean Corrigan who couldn't make it down today.

Costalita She is a homebred filly and the dam (Vinnes Friend) was good to me and won twice and we liked her. She is from a very good family and is the first foal from the mare. John Dillon approached me, through another owner and his friend Oliver Barden, to get involved in a horse and I said this would be a fun filly. She is of average ability but is after winning a handicap nicely so hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on her and hopefully she will get another day.
