Razoul I thought he’d run real well but he was 7lb wrong at the weights which I thought was going to be a big ask of him. I didn’t want to claim off him because Donagh Meyler rode him on his last two runs and gets on real well with him. He gave him a brilliant ride. He jumped and travelled all the way today, and I thought bar a mistake he was going to win turning in. He came travelling well and found loads. I had it in my head that he could be a Galway Hurdle horse next year. I thought he was a lot better than he was showing on the track. He got a nice break after his maiden hurdle win and I think we’ll go for one of those big pots off a light weight. He’s a well handicapped horse on the Flat but he’d no interest, and is a different horse with a hurdle in front of him. He loves jumping, and I think he’ll go on any ground. He loved that ease today. I only took out a licence at the back end of last year, and that’s my fourth winner. I have 12 and am happy to do it in a small way. My nephew Ray and myself and my wife Gillian look after them so it’s a family operation.

Metier I told Mr Garvey that he had improved a stone since Down Royal. We gave him a break, he's a big raw horse. He could end up a Cup horse next year, he's so raw and big, he's a fair horse. This is as short as he'd want to go. He might end up going for this year's Irish Cesarewitch. I thought the ground mightn't be soft enough for him today. He'll go on any kind of ground but stamina is his thing. He's a mile-and-a-half, mile-six or maybe two mile horse eventually. He had a mark of 73 today but he won't have that now. It's all about next year with him. He ran here last year and was fourth in a goodish maiden but he was a big clown and didn't know what to do. He's still a bit the same and he said he was idling out in front and waiting for the horses. I think next year with a bit of luck he could be a very very good horse. We could be going for those nice staying races. That's where we are hoping to be.

Moonmeister It was a great performance. The horse was out of sorts all year, I don't know what was wrong with him but he started to come in the last month. Our jockey couldn't have done it better and everything worked out lovely. It's a lovely pot to land and it's a good man involved (Phil Rugg). It's his first horse to get involved with, with me, so it's great. There is no point making any plans, we'll enjoy today.

Razoul That's my first winner so it's mighty to get off the mark. I've been assistant to Ellmarie Holden and to Eoin Doyle but I went out on my own it's great to get off the mark. It's great to get the first one and I'm over the moon. He's actually a good horse, he's so unlucky that he's bumped into one the last three times. I thought today, bar a fall, he looked well ahead of those. I might give him a little break now. I think he could be good enough to run in that good hurdle in Listowel, the Lartigue Hurdle, off a low weight. He'll go on soft ground as well if it came up soft.

Crafty Madam On first impression I thought we were just chinned. I was about to shake hands with Mick Halford and congratulate him,. She's owned by Con Harrington, who used to be our landlord, and he's a good supporter. He's over from London for the day and he's delighted as she's a filly with a big pedigree. She's a half-sister to Profitable so she's a very important filly for the breeding shed going forward. We've a little bit to go in the ratings but we'll try for a bit of black-type along the way. That's a great pot to win and we're delighted to win on Derby weekend. Niall is riding with great confidence. He rides work for us and has always been a very good rider, he's a classic winning rider. With 8-4 he was always going to ride her. He's given her some ride. She had a lovely run for us at Leopardstown. Billy (Lee) rode her to get a feel and see where she'd fall in because she wouldn't be working savage or anything. She met a bit of traffic and ran on very well. She's obviously come forward from there. I felt we might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb and go for the big prize-money. After Leopardstown I said we'd keep her for this. I was just a little worried that the ground was getting a bit tight for her, and drying out, but Niall said we got away with it.

Morpho Blue I'd say the mile stretches her a bit and ideally a stiff seven is her trip and she is a filly going the right way who has a beautiful page. She dug really deep today and we might go looking for black-type with her now.

Demi Plie Bryan gave her a great ride and she loves jumping. She's bred for different things but it is nice to get a winner. She had every chance the last day but you wouldn't know if she would have won. It was for horses rated 109 (today) and she's rated 108 so that's her kind of bracket. She likes jumping fences. We'll keep her going during the summer and find something similar.

Morpho Blue She picked up well, they went quick and it suited her. Seven furlongs is about her trip but she'll get a mile. She is a good mover and any old ground suits her. Hopefully we'll get her up to Stakes company and that is the plan for her.

Beckwith Place We only have 12 in training and they have all been running exceptionally well, so to get one on the board is good,. He was a weak horse last year and improved over the winter. He’d a good first run back at the Curragh and I’d have been disappointed if he didn’t do that this evening. He had a stone bruise and we had to take him out at Fairyhouse last week. He’s still a baby and only has eight runs under his belt. Hopefully he’ll improve from that again. This was Mr (Herb) Stanley’s horse and a new syndicate has come together to take him and another horse over. It’s great for them and is their first winner.

Double Martini He's a nice horse that Morna (winning owner Morna McDowall) sent to us in March,. He'll probably have no bother getting further but we thought five was nice place to start him today on a stiff track like this. It's great that he won today and we'll make a new plan as we go now. He's a nice horse, he's been working well and that ground was ideal for him.
