Canadian Steel They went too slow yesterday (in Sligo) and they didn't quicken. He's entered for Killarney later on in the week, but we'll see what he is like in a couple of days. He might run but I'd say it is a bigger chance he won't. Looking at it this morning you had to go for today's race - if he was a five-year-old horse you wouldn't do that but sure he is a 10-year-old horse. He came out of yesterday 100 per cent and we scoped him yesterday evening to make sure he was 100 per cent. He could have finished third today as handy as winning. Conor (Orr) is a very good jockey - I gave him a lot of rides and he had no luck for me for a long time but I stuck by him.

Doctor Duffy It was a messy race and we think he is a fair horse. His bumper form is quite good. I think 2m 4f is his trip and in that race they hacked for half of it. He ballooned an early flight but is going the right way and he'll run in a novice hurdle over 2m 4f next.

Canadian Steel He might go to England now for another handicap chase. He is improving all the time and has been working well at home. Coming here today we were very confident. He was brilliant after Downpatrick and ate up well.

Canadian Steel He was just a bit unlucky the last day. He came here today and he had a run under his belt and we fancied him. He was in good enough form. I think the small field suits him better than a big field. There's only one way to ride him, he has to be held up. You ride him as if he is going to be placed not to win because he is too keen. There's no point in taking on 16 or 18 runners. There was too front-runners and they cut each others throats. He doesn't travel great, I had him England a couple of times and he sweats up nervously. Even travelling to Tramore he got off the box and started to sweat and shake. He's a nervous type of horse. I don't think the handicapper is going to be sore on a horse of that age.

Doctor Duffy It was a nice return and his bumper form was fairly solid. On the whole he jumped fairly well and he'll be kept going now over the summer, we'll see where it takes him,. After he won his bumper we left him off and said we'd keep him a novice for this year and it has worked out. In time he could go three miles but he's not slow either and anything from 2m2f up would suit. He is a nice horse and hopefully he will run in the Galway festival.

Maeve's Choice I'm delighted for Michael (Hannon, owner) as he's a gentleman - a lovely man to train for,. We were a little bit worried about the ground as he won on bottomless ground last year and we thought he wanted it. He's shown there that he doesn't have to have it that way. After his mistake at the last he did well to stick at it.
