Sky Marshal he had a good run at Galway (finished third) and had been knocking on the door for a while. The last horse (Byrnes' Give Battle) I rode in the earlier race was just unlucky but I had luck in my corner there.

Itsalonglongroad It has been a long long road but he deserved it as he's been consistent,. He's just hard on himself. We've been trying to drop him in but it's not worked and Ross gave him a great ride from the front there. I'm delighted to get that bracket for him and he must like tight tracks as he won at Tramore before. He might end up back there.

Basic Law It was complete and utter trainer error running him on Sunday. We knew going down the ground wasn't right for him,. I shouldn't have run him but the beautiful thing about having Colin is that he excepted it very early and he basically had a racecourse gallop. He came home and licked the pot. He's a very straight-forward horse and this was too good of a pot not to have a go at. It would have been a gutless move not to have a look at it, if we got beat we got beat. He's a nice horse and he's on the improve. With these Hong Kong horses I could get up in the morning and they could tell me their permit is due and he's gone. I just hope they leave them with me for another year. I lost Mackqeez the other day and California Daddy. It's a high-class problem though and you have to take the good with the bad.

Faerie Laws I wanted Wayne because he could do the weight and he suited that filly as she needed a strong ride. He got a lovely break and sat in a good position the whole way. She idles a bit but today was her first time in full blinkers and the rain came at exactly the right time as she needs that bit of ease in the ground. I'm happy for the owners and she is a winner now.

Marshall Jennings I didn't think he was going to get a gap turning into the straight but it opened up for him and it's great for Tom (Madden) and I hope the handicapper isn't too hard on him,. He'll go for all those big handicaps and he used to want a dig in the ground but as he has got a bit of age, he can go on any ground now. Mrs representing

Basic Law We're delighted with that. Seven furlongs on a tight enough track is as sharp as he wants it,. He will want a mile on a galloping track, if not a little bit further. Fair play to Gary (Carroll) the last day as he taught him an awful lot. Colin said said today that it's tough going ground wise and he'll appreciate it a little bit better. He's still very green and there should be a lot more improvement to come. That would suggest that he's a nice horse. I said to Colin 'you had to help him' and he said 'yeah it was just absolute greenness. In Naas it was only the last two furlongs that he got to learn something. I'd say he's a nice horse and we're happy with that.
