Moonlight Glory She won here over course and distance and the plan was to come back here six weeks afterwards. She was straightforward and is well bred, is out of a good mare and by the right sire (Fame And Glory) and today was the plan,. We had a super Christmas - we had two winners from five runners and got the tactics wrong on another which finished second.

Flame Bearer Myself and Donnchadh Doyle owned him when he ran in his point to point and we always knew he was very good but Jack (Doyle, son) got broke up so I sent him to Donnchadh to train,. We were very disappointed the day he was beaten in his point to point when he didn't jump well enough. The horse is not for sale and I own him in partnership with two very good friends.

Ballyadam Jack (Kennedy) gave him a grand ride, followed the leaders and kept it simple. He said he is still a bit novicey with his jumping and that's only his second ever run over hurdles. He said he'd learn plenty from that and said he won snug and never emptied him completely. I'll discuss it with the owners but I'd imagine Christmas at Leopardstown will be the obvious next plan.

Moonlight Glory She is a lovely filly, is impeccably bred but was babyish and took time to come to hand. We made too much use of her in Fairyhouse the last day,. She was first reserve and I got a phone call at 7.45am so I was delighted. . That's my first double and I neither had one riding or training before. We have 23 riding out and have never been as busy; we've always room for nice horses.

Brooklynn Glory to be honest I was disappointed with her at Listowel (won there on debut by four and a half lengths), that's what I thought she'd do at Listowel. We probably didn't go fast enough then as she gallops and gallops. She wears a hood because she used to be a bit giddy but is much better now. We think she could be good and she handles soft ground. I imagine she could be one for the Graded bumper at Navan if it doesn't come too soon and I'd be hoping she'd stay to bumpers this year. It is hard to change this late in the season to hurdles and there is a great programme for her in bumpers - I think she has the class to go for races like the Aintree Bumper. She has plenty of size and scope and will jump a fence in time if they want.

Home By The Lee it was a big ask having had just one run over fences and he jumped fairly well but got under one or two. He stays very very well and is a lovely horse going forward. I needed a good jump at the last but didn't get a wonderful jump but he managed to get away from it well and plugged on to the line.

Bythesametoken Simon rode this horse the last day and gave him a lovely ride and the lads were delighted to keep him on him with the 5lbs claim. That's his first winner for me. he had winter form on soft to heavy so when the rain came it didn't really affect us, but might have affected some of the summer horses. His last run left him spot on; he ran well in 0-130 hurdle then and he was dropping back to a 0-116 today but the topweight was rated just 110 so it was a drop in class. He is a fine big horse and will jump a fence as well. It is great for the Monroes (owners) as well as they are great supporters of the yard.

Foxy Jacks he jumped great all the way today and made up for being unseated the last day at Limerick. We got a nice lead all the way, he jumped great and picked up nicely. On form you were hoping he would do that, and thankfully he did.
