Champagne Or Water That's fantastic for her owners Jason and Leeann Scott. Jason spends six months of the year working in Russia, where he is at the moment, to feed his family,. She did it well and loved the ground. She will go to the Sales at the end of the year, and will make a lovely big broodmare for somebody. We will probably try her in a Group 3 before then and see what happens. From her high draw I just told Billy to drop her out and settle her, and try to pick them off one by one and see what happens. Billy is very kind, especially on fillies, and asks them instead of telling them. That's important to me as it means they improve from race to race.

Colour Blue It couldn't have worked out better,. We were drawn wide and I said to Billy to sacrifice the ground as I had walked the track and the ground was way better out there. The two Group 1 horses came up that ground and if it was good enough for them I said we'd come up it too. Billy gave her a lovely ride and she ran all the way to the line. She has a bit of black-type and is in the sales at the end of the year. She has run in this the last two years and was a bit unlucky when fourth last year. It's great for Garrett and Anne Freyne and an important win for them. They've been very loyal owners.

Childhood I was a bit disappointed with her the second day at Naas and thought she ran a little bit with the choke out. That was the plan today, to arrive late. She looks after herself a bit but she's a tough little devil. She did that well, quickened up well and might go for something like the Birdcatcher or another premier six furlong handicap. She finished off today whereas the last day she did it all in the first furlong and didn't finish.

Perle De la Mer It was a professional performance for a filly first time out and she was very good in the stalls with all the commotion all around. She did it well and came up the hill. In her work she has always been like that - she grinds it out rather than quickens and is very honest. She is bred by Patrick and Annemarie Burns, who have been great supporters of mine. She didn't make a certain figure at the sales but they're going to hold on to her now and breed from her. It's a family they have had all their lives. We'll see how she comes out of this but she went on that easy ground and it gives us options now - if we could get black-type she would be worth a lot more.

Valentana She's grand and likes it there. The hustle and bustle here suits her,. She's very relaxed at the minute and enjoying her racing. You'd be worried what the handicapper will do and there was nothing to enter her in this week just in case. We'll see what happens and looks for something similar. Dropping in has been the key to her. She is coming racing and loving racing. She's gone very professional from a filly that worried a bit to enjoying it. She's on a bit of a thrive.
