A Toi Phil He said he was flat out the whole way. I’d say because it was his first run in a handicap he was a bit novicey,. He’d maybe be a bit better with a bit of light but thankfully he had his head in front at the right time. I thought he had a nice mark but you always worry about lack of experience. If you watched him in the Drinmore he got in behind a few, backed off and was a bit cowardly. These are the race we want to win so we had to give him a rattle at it. When I saw the entries I thought he was well weighted. We have Cheltenham as an option but he’s still a novice so we might miss that and keep him at home. There is plenty of good prize-money at home. I’d say on that ground he’d stay any trip but not on heavy ground. We’re very lucky to have the bunch of horses we have. These horses are all bought to be graded horses and if they just fall below the pecking order they can end up getting in to these races off nice marks. I’m in a lucky position to have not just Gigginstown but all the owners with these type of horses. We’ve won for a variety of different owners.

Realt Mor It’s a nice race to win. He’s either very good or very bad, there is no inbetween with him. We tried dropping him in and they went so fast it suited him grand. He won a Powers Gold Cup so he wasn’t a bad horse in his day. He’ll probably mix and match it between hurdles and fences.

The Storyteller He jumps and he gallops. We’ll see where we go from here whether he’ll go for a handicap or stay the novice route. The owners like to go to Cheltenham, so more than likely he will go for something over there. I’m not sure if he will go for something before that. This might not be his ideal track as he was flat out early, and a more galloping track would suit him better.

Barra she took on two good geldings in her last two runs and she was good there today and she stretched all the way to the line. It rode a good race as they were flat out all the way. There is a Graded mares’ novice back here in a few weeks that she may go for.

Definite Ruby I’m riding freelance and ride work for Enda Bolger, Willie Mullins, Gordon (Elliott) and Shay Barry as well. She’s a grand honest mare. I thought the trip was too short and the ground too soft. It was her first run back and I thought she’d come on from it so it was grand and everyone is happy. She could compete in some of those long distance handicap chases again. She won over fences here last year.

Death Duty to be honest I thought they didn’t go fast enough - I thought Blood Crazed Tiger would make them go a good gallop and our lad is just an out-and-out stayer.

Dakota Moirette He deserved that after a good run the last day, and we'll try and find a little winners' race for him. It probably wasn't the strongest of races, and he might be the type that will be seen to better effect in handicaps rather than conditions races. He handled conditions well and stays. Outlander Don Poli is working very good at home. If he hadn't run at Down Royal I'd fancy him to run well but he was that bad there it was embarrassing,. We'll just keep our fingers crossed with him. He's been hunting, so I hope he's better for that as well. He's in good form so we'll see what happens. Outlander would be the best horse in a lot of yards. Looking at him, you'd say two and a half miles suits him best, but he's versatile.

Missy Tata she is a good mare and I don’t think two miles is her ideal trip so we decided ride her nice and positive. Her Gold Cup is going to be the 2m4f Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham - she is improving the whole time but I doubt we’ll see the real article until she goes jumping fences. She is straightforward and stays going well and will have one more run or will go straight to Cheltenham. She is one to look forward to.

Stone Hard we actually had him as a youngster and he was a horse we always thought a lot of. He obviously went to Willie’s (Mullins) and came back to us and today wasn’t a surprise as his work at home was very good. He’ll have to step up now but couldn’t have been more impressive today. He is a horse we think a lot of and might be starting to fill into himself now and is a big shell of a horse. He’s a horse we like.

Noble Endeavor We were hitting the crossbar all week but they are running well. They are not second last though and it’s better to be second than second last. That’s brilliant for Chris Jones. He’s been a big supporter of the yard and I’m delighted to be able to repay him with a nice winner like this. Chris invests an awful lot of money into Irish racing and is one of the main men here at Leopardstown so this is a special day for him and his family. These are the lads that deserve it so it’s great. We were probably a bit further back than we wanted to be early but they went some gallop. We’ve been second in it a few times so it’s nice to win it. Davy has ridden a lot of winners for us over the years but this has to be bang up there. I thought himself and Ucello Conti were the two picks and the ground was just a bit too quick for Ucello but he ran well. It’s a nice race to win. We needed it but they are running well so we are happy. I suppose the Irish National now would be the plan.
