Identity Thief He did it as well as you could have asked. He jumped well and David gave him a super ride. He was quick when he got in short and has loads of scope as well. They went a good lick. That was what I was hoping for and couldn't ask for any more. I will have to speak to Michael and Eddie (O'Leary) but he has a number of options. I would normally favour coming back here for the Craddockstown but there are also races at Cheltenham and Navan. He will stick to that trip for the moment but I don't see why he couldn't go up in trip in the future.

Some Plan I’ve had him since July and he’s a 145 rated hurdler who jumps well and strikes me as a chasing type. It is no mean feat to jump around here at the first attempt, and he has a few options now where to go next - we could look at England as well which would suit the owner (Roger Brookhouse).

Sub Lieutenant I’ve loose schooled him since he came to me and he’s one of those horses that just gets it right every time. I wanted to buy him when he was in the Derby Sale but didn’t have enough to get him. It’s funny the way things work out. I’ll have to see what Michael and Eddie want to do but he could go for the two and a half miles Grade 2 at Down Royal. It’s nice to get today out of the way. He’s a really exciting horse.

Lion In His Heart he (Identity Thief) seems in good form and we were looking at maybe Punchestown or Galway next week subject to ground; we just want a nice ease in the ground. He's in super form and jumping well so we're happy.

Ridestan it was a super ride from David - he said he should have kept going at the last but felt he was pricking his ears and not concentrating so just popped it. Jessie's (Harrington) horse (Neverushacon) battled well but ours stayed on well also. Andrew (Lynch) won on him at Killarney and said he reminded him of Loosen My Load as he jumped so well which was a massive compliment. I think he's better on good ground or looser ground, and it's a bit tacky today. If it's suitable he could go to Punchestown for the Craddockstown.

Veronica's Napkin I was hoping she would improve from her run in Roscommon and on the better ground. She's a well-bred filly and is finding her feet. She could go for a novice now,. The owners David and Anne Moon are from Jersey, and had hoses with me when I started training. In fact David bought a filly from my father about 50 years ago so the association goes back a long time. I was delighted with the second (Sir Benford Wales) as well. He kept on well and could go for a bumper next.
