8-8-09 KILBEGGAN DUERS and Barry Geraghty win for trainer Paul Magnier.HEALY RACING PHOTO
After race at Punchestown Wed, 13th Oct, 2010 (1st) We thought his chance was compromised a bit on Sunday (trouble in running when 4th in the Munster National). He is a great jumper though and he is not a bad horse when he's right. He suffers from chronic asthma and has to be nebulised every day of his life. Hopefully the ground will stay in his favour for another while. He still has a good mark over hurdles and he was second to that good horse, Thousand Stars at Naas. He is progressive, he got a 1Ib for last Sunday and he'll likely get another six or seven for today. We had the best driver (Ruby Walsh) today and people like us don't always manage to get him. He gave the horse confidence all the way. Paul Magnier |
After race at Listowel Fri, 18th Sep, 2009 (1st) He's a big safe horse and he jumps really well. We were a little bit worried about the trip, we thought it might be a shade short for him., . He is progressing all of the time and the main plan would be to run him in the Aintree Grand National next year. He's within a win of getting into the handicap. Paul Magnier |
After race at Tramore Sun, 16th Aug, 2009 (1st) For a big horse you would think he would like soft ground but he is much better on good ground. He's holding his form well and we will probably go for another handicap. Paul Magnier |
After race at Kilbeggan Sat, 8th Aug, 2009 (1st) He's been unfortunate in a few races recently. He's honest and tough, over hurdles or fences,. He'll go for something much the same at Tramore or Killarney. He wants good ground. He'll go on soft but not winter ground. Paul Magnier |
