After race at Punchestown Wed, 4th May, 2011 (1st) Follow The Plan was suited by the fast gallop today as he failed to settle early at Aintree on his latest run. We were hoping he wouldn't be out of his depth today and he's finished for the season now. . He's had some leg trouble in the past and hopefully he, and we, will be alright in the morning! After race at Thurles Thu, 27th Jan, 2011 (1st) I wasn't expecting that but sure that makes it all the sweeter. The ground wouldn't have really suited him and maybe it was just that some of the fancied horses didn't run up to form. He had leg trouble in the past and he came back from Cheltenham (in 2009) a wreck. We gave him plenty of time off after that and he got a lovely ride from Paddy there. He was a bit sticky at a few fences over on the far side but he came home like a train. We were held up badly during the cold snap and he probably came on from his last run. Oliver McKiernan |
After race at Gowran Park Sat, 22nd Nov, 2008 (1st) He has improved a little bit since his last run, he jumps well and he showed a nice turn of foot between the last two fences. We have no set plans for him, we will probably go to Leopardstown over the Christmas and I wouldn't be afraid of dropping him back to 2 miles. Oliver McKiernan |
After race at Clonmel Thu, 30th Oct, 2008 (1st) Follow The Plan won his only point to point and I've always thought he could run a bit. He jumps well and may have a break now. Oliver McKiernan |
