TIPPERARY 18-5-2011.ONE FOR JOULES and Danny Mullins wins for trainer Shark Hanlon.Photo HEALY RACING.
After race at Roscommon Sun, 12th Jun, 2011 (1st) I was just afraid the ground had gone for her, but Danny (Mullins) said she didn't mind it. She is in again tomorrow for a handicap hurdle but we will see how she comes out of this before deciding whether or not to run her. If there is more rain she definitely won't go. She dropped herself back, down the back of the course but she picked up again as the ground got better. John Joseph Hanlon |
After race at Tipperary Thu, 19th May, 2011 (1st) Danny gave her a super ride. He's improved massively in the last four months since he started to ride out at Willie Mullins',. This mare is honest but she idled a bit in front. The ground made a big difference today as she wants good ground. I had her entered on Sunday but took her out which is a pity. She's not too big and might go back for a Flat race. John Joseph Hanlon |
After race at Clonmel Sun, 26th Sep, 2010 (1st) I thought it was never going to happen (another winner). She should have won in Fairyhouse the last day but she got trouble in running. I'd say we have had about 30 places in the last 6 weeks and I hope that'll turn our luck now. This mare will go back and try and win on the flat again (won at Wexford in July) before she resumes over hurdles. John Joseph Hanlon |
After race at Wexford Fri, 23rd Jul, 2010 (1st) She was unlucky in Killarney. She got into all sorts of trouble with Danny (Mullins). She was entitled to win a little race and she'll probably go to Galway now on the Thursday. She loved the ground and Kevin Manning got off her two runs back and told us never to run her on hard ground again. Unfortunately it's not looking like Truckers Delight will get into the Galway Plate. They told me that the cut-off point has never been as high. He is rated 130 and it's looking like he won't get in so I'm raging. The other horse, Luska Lad (Galway Hurdle hopeful) is in serious form. He did a great bit of work in Tipperary and I'm happier now with him than any time since I started training him. I'd be expecting yielding ground by the time Thursday comes around.
