Ruby Walsh was back riding out at Paul Nicholls' yard, on Monday, for the first time since he fractured a leg in a fall at Down Royal in November and is set to resume race-riding on Friday,
Walsh, who schooled Mikael D'Haguenet after racing at Leopardstown on Sunday, schooled several of Nicholls’ stable stars on Monday and the Kildare rider is on course for a return to action at Newbury on Friday.
Nicholls, who yesterday said on Twitter “"Ruby schooled Kauto Star, Big Buck's, Master Minded and Sam Winner He is not going to ride on Thursday, he is going to ride on Friday. We haven't got anything particularly sparkling at Taunton (on Thursday)."
