The versatile gelding hasn't been seen in action since winning the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.
Trainer Dermot Weld, who went close with Greasepaint in the 1983 renewal, reports his charge in good heart ahead of the race.
“He's a definite runner on Saturday and Robbie McNamara rides. He's very well,” said the Master of Rosewell House today.
The confirmation that Majestic Concorde makes the trip will no doubt be music to McNamara's ears after he earlier expressed his hope that he would line up on Saturday.
"Mr Weld hasn't confirmed him a definite runner yet, but I think he is likely to run," said McNamara, who will be having his first ride in the great race.
"He's a 100-plus rated horse on the Flat - he won the GPT Galway Handicap and was fourth in the Chester Cup.
"He won the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown off top weight, that was his last run. He's a horse that runs best fresh.
"I schooled him last week over two Grand National fences at the Curragh and he jumped super.
"He's a great attitude and he stays well. He has plenty of class for it and fingers crossed with a bit of luck you never know what could happen."
