FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LA JOYA has shown enough thus far to suggest she can win a maiden of this standard. She showed promise on debut, caught the eye on her third run before running a solid race when second at Listowel last month. By Lope De Vega, she handles testing ground and while beaten 1L by Rosa Albertine on her debut run, has improved since then and is also much better than her showing at Galway in August when beaten 18L by Lady Dahlia. Lady Dahlia is clearly a capable type herself and while she failed to build on that promising debut Galway run, she raced keenly at Tramore before being unable to compete at Listed level subsequently. Pendant is a very notable newcomer and could well prove good enough to win on her belated debut. She cost all of 1,200,000gns as a yearling and while she is a sister to Group 1 sprint winner Garswood, she is by Galileo and will get this trip, albeit she will probably prefer a much sounder surface. Rosa Albertine is able at this level but is again vulnerable to useful types while is tried in a first-time visor while Tejano and Lady Ironside are both capable of getting involved for the placings. %0A
