FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Arguably the weakest race of the Festival, and definitely one of the most difficult to call. The last two winners of this contest were returned at 33/1, and neither have managed to win a race since. Of the ten Irish trained runners engaged, BAND OF OUTLAWS looks the pick. He was unlucky not to win on debut over flights at Cork in December, but got off the mark on his next start at Limerick. He followed-up on that success with an impressive win at Naas last month, and looks a horse with a bright future. Joseph O'Brien trains the selection, and he is also represented by Fine Brunello and Star Max. Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott also both saddle three, with Ruby Walsh opting to partner Ciel De Neige for Mullins. He failed to win in three starts in his native France, and it's difficult to fancy him here. La Sorelita might fare best of the Closutton trio. Fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time, and carrying just ten stone thirteen, she has the able to make her presence felt. The Elliott trained Lethal Steps is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, and he is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Chief Justice is another leading contender having won a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse in December. Top-weight Torpillo and the Tom George trained Fanfan Du Seuil look the best of the home team.
