FormscanBy Gary Carson - This looks the perfect trip for RIVEN LIGHT on the Flat and he might be able to get the job done on his return to action. He disappointed slightly when last seen at Naas in November but that was over a mile-and-a-half and his best form on the level has been over shorter. He had won the big mile handicap at Galway prior to that and that was after a absence so coming back from a break here doesn't look a big issue. It is probably bit dangerous to read too literally the form of The King's third here last time although it was a fine run to finish third to Magical in the Mooresbridge Stakes. He may have been a touch flattered to get so close to such a rival then but is a solid performer and should be a big player in this grade. Old Glory made little impression in the Irish Guineas on his return but looks a talented sort and with that run under his belt he might get closer now.
