Last year's winner Elusive Time is back again, but it's surely a big ask for him to do it as a ten-year-old with a seven pound claimer up. The one I'm going to row in behind is FIRMAMENT. Former champion jockey Declan McDonogh combining with David O'Meara is a partnership to catch anybody's eye, and in this Cape Cross gelding they have a horse that ought to go close. Last time at York the six-year-old finished a neck and half a length off Poet's Society and Kynren, in third place, in a big near mile handicap, and on that occasion he raced in touch, and made headway when not getting a clear run and switching right two furlongs out. Firmament was ridden and stayed on towards the finish then to suggest his turn wouldn't be far away.
