You can’t buy the experience gained there, in a normal year at least, for two-year-olds especially. Chief Little Hawk is the pick of Seamie Heffernan here, over Hyde Park Barracks, and that’s hardly surprising given that the Air Force Blue colt has twice proved superior to his stable companion. Four winners and four seconds was the haul for Aidan O’Brien from the Berkshire showpiece, and he has since generally expressed himself satisfied with how the team have taken their exertions. One of only two previous winners in this line-up, Chief Little Hawk is preferred to Frenetic. In truth though, all of these have shown ability and their connections will likely be hopeful of at least landing a decent share of the prize-money.
