FormscanBy Donal Murphy - While Happily sets the standard here after finishing third in the English equivalent, CHIARA LUNA is ultimately the one I'll side with. The daughter of War Front was successful on her debut at Leopardstown last August, and really caught the eye when fourth on her most recent start in a trial at the Foxrock venue earlier this month. She had no luck in running up the home straight, and when eventually in the clear, she finished out her race strong to take fourth. She should come on plenty for that effort, and with a smoother passage now she can be expected to go close. The progressive Who's Steph and Alghabrah finished ahead of the selection at Leopardstown and they re-oppose now. The former would be a worthy winner of this, having won two trials, while the latter looks an outsider to keep on side. The aforementioned Happily is one of four contenders for Aidan O’Brien, and she is unsurprisingly the pick of Ryan Moore. In truth she looks the one to beat, while it'll be interesting to see how stable mate Clemmie fares on her first start of the season. Soliloquy is the sole British raider in the line-up, and she is sure to have plenty of supporters after finishing sixth to Billesdon Brook in Newmarket.
