FormscanBy Michael Graham - CASTLE OLIVER showed much more when delivering in Fairyhouse and can build upon that. He won very easily by six lengths and, although it wasn’t the strongest race, he is unexposed over fences and this looks a good opportunity to swiftly follow up. Great Khan has extensive experience over fences, and indeed he has been runner-up the last four times he has finished his races. There is a victory over the bigger obstacles in him but he may need to sharpen up his jumping to get off the mark in this contest. Diamond Turf’s last success came over two miles in a bumper at Navan approximately two years ago. He has since been campaigned over much more of a trip, so the drop back to this extended two miles may proves to be a positive. He was beaten a fair way in Fairyhouse this month when racing prominently but, if those tactics are deployed again, he could make a bold bid for glory. In addition, cheekpieces are tried today.
