FormscanBy Tom Weekes - FIRST THING was well touted on debut when finishing in mid-division in a smart maiden at the Curragh in August and then showed up well when third at Listowel 11 days ago and looks the one to beat here. He didn't get the run of the race at Listowel (he was wide when bumped early in the home straight) but stayed on nicely late-on and looks the type to win his maiden, despite an obvious concern about dropping from a mile to today's 6f trip. Schroders Mistake has herself shown useful form in three maidens thus far and while she is clearly again vulnerable to smart types, is proven at this trip and comes here clearly fit and well. Colin Keane is allowed off newcomer Estepona Sun (a E31,000 yearling purchase) to ride FIRST THING, which is a negative for Estepona Sun's chances today while Seven Worlds, by No Nay Never, showed improvement on his second start at Navan recently and has place claims. Newcomers Dinn Righ and Katie Bo Kat were both second in recent barrier trials and can go well on debut.
