On that occasion Dakota Moirette chased the leaders and he pecked badly at the first. Soon racing in fourth the selection made a bad mistake at the second and a slight one four out. Soon under pressure, the seven-year-old was making no impression from before two out, soon having no extra to give when ending up over twenty nine lengths off the winner. That was the first outing for Gordon Elliott’s charge since July, so he’ll surely come on, at least at little for it. Elliott has described Dakota Moirette’s jumping as “quite iffy,” and hopefully it’ll pass the test now, with Davy Russell up for the third time.
