Indeed, prior to that he had been a close second in three previous handicap hurdles. He shouldn't be lacking in the stamina stakes over this 14 furlongs. However, he ran off a mark of 55 in a Class 6 handicap at Hamilton in June and couldn't justify favouritism in weakening to fifth, so isn't without risks. JUMELLEA looks an attractive price at 10/1 for this staying test. She beat One Cool Poet in Limerick and the latter went on to win three races in a week at the Galway Festival (and got his revenge on Jumellea in one of them). In that race in Limerick, she had Building Bridges the guts of five lengths behind her in third. There is a 7lb swing in favour of Building Bridges and he is priced around 5/2 but the bigger-priced Jumellea may not be far away. Danehill Quest is another worth considering.
