FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Tying these scant form-lines together is difficult and RUN FOR OSCAR is tipped on the basis he was an unlucky loser at Thurles last month and looks the type to win his bumper. He displayed greeness when running well in a winners' bumper at Leopardstown over Christmas and was then caught late-on at Thurles having been in front too soon. He is clearly a capable type and should take beating today. Power Of Pause himself failed to win a Thurles bumper last January when upstaged at odds of 30/100. A debut point-to-point winner, he was bought for %A3180,000 last March and while more was clearly expected at Thurles, it is possible the winner then is a smart horse but Power Of Pause now needs to prove his ability. Felino De Bersy is a very notable newcomer representing top connections and comes from a good French family (his dam was a bumper winner). Interestingly he was declared to run at a rather unfashionable Down Royal meeting last May but was taken out due to 'unsuitable ground' and now makes his somewhat belated debut. The Hammer %26 Trowel Syndicate, of Quevega fame, team up with trainer Noel Meade for the first time since 2004 with Hes A Hardy Bloke, whom cost %A350,000 last December following his point-to-point win. He finished behind useful French Dynamite at Tralee on debut and while he took three runs to win, could go well today. Two Shoe Tom was reported in-season when a non-runner at Gowran last month and while her most recent hurdles form is nothing exciting, she does have some very notable bumper form to her name in 2018/19. She finished fifth in a Grade 2 Bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival last year and while she would have strong claims on that form, would prefer a sounder surface today. Kessler was a E38,000 Derby Sale purchase and is a notable newcomer being a half-brother to smart My Sister Sarah and from the family of J'y Vole.%0A
