FormscanBy Gary Carson - A cracking renewal of the race with the last two winners lining up again. Kemboy really sprang to prominence with his victory in this 12 months ago and finished last season as the top staying chaser around courtesy of an impressive victory at Aintree and the defeat of Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo at Punchestown. Obviously with the controversy surrounding Supreme Racing his seasonal debut has been delayed but Willie Mullins is sure to have him right for this and he sets the standard. He is a worthy favourite and the one to beat but PRESENTING PERCY gets the vote to finally grab the chance to step up and prove himself right out of the top drawer. Going to post at Cheltenham last season he was a solid favourite for the Gold Cup mainly due to how impressive he had been in the previous year's RSA Chase. Pat Kelly had only produced him for one outing over timber last season before heading for the big one. Unfortunately it went pear shaped as he never travelled and finished a well-beaten eighth. Not surprisingly he was found to have suffered an injury and this is a real acid test now to see if he can recapture that brilliance he showed a couple of seasons ago. His comeback run in the John Durkan, over an inadequate two-and-a-half, couldn't have gone much better as he stayed on nicely to finish third to Min. He's entitled to step forward considerably from that and is fancied to shine now on the big stage. Road To Respect took this two years ago and has to come into calculations after a good win on his return at Down Royal early last month. Noel Meade feels he wasn't seen at his best last term after running on fast ground here. He's a top class horse at his best and could well get involved at the business end. Delta Work is another horse with a bit to prove after a disappointing effort on his return at Down Royal. He reportedly came home lame after that run and if he can recapture the best of his novice form he adds another intriguing angle to a fascinating race.
