FormscanBy Tom Weekes - A CASE OF YOU won on reappearance run and debut for new connections last month and might again. A CASE OF YOU did very well for John McConnell as a juvenile, landing the October's Anglesey Stakes before winning easily (from a subsequent winner) on debut for Ado McGuinness at Dundalk. He is in excellent form, has proven ability and having won at Dundalk, will handle good turf ground today. Laws Of Indices gives away weight but has his chance. A high class juvenile, he finished last term with a well beaten Group 1 third-placing at Longchamp in October but may have been inconvenienced by heavy ground. A return to drier conditions will help and today's distance is also suitable. Monaasib is potentially interesting having run well when second to fast-finishing High Definition in the Beresford Stakes last September. Monaasib will be suited by easy ground but it is interesting his best run was over the Beresford mile last year, suggesting he might ideally prefer further than today's 7f. Poetic Flare easily won the Killavullan Stakes last October and while he has obvious ability, races on faster ground today on his reappearance today. There is nothing special about the form of Horoscope's maiden won last month but he remains open to more improvement and is his yard's first string over Matchless, who won a useful Listowel maiden in September, and Merchants Quay.
