FormscanBy Gary Carson - HEAVENLY RAINBOW looked like he would improve plenty from his first run when winning at Fairyhouse on his debut late last month and he should prove hard to beat here now. He came from well back then and looked green when making his run, tending to lug in towards the field. It probably didn't help his cause that his saddle slipped right back around his belly. The third-placed horse Joza re-opposes now and he obviously looks a danger having stormed home then from well off the pace. He has run out a gutsy winner at Limerick since but that was only five days ago and he looked to have a hard enough race then. Heavenly Rainbow is fancied to confirm the placings as there looks plenty more to come from Ger Lyons' charge. Alfons Wade was well-backed to produce a better showing on his second outing at Roscommon and did just that in finishing third to Kestrel Prince. He has to be respected, particularly as he gets half a stone off the selection.
