Watermelon Bay ran a fine race on her handicap debut at Gowran last month, and it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go one place better now. Luminent is another who filled the runner-up spot recently, and the Gigginstown House Stud owned chestnut is likely to have plenty of supporters. For a selection I'll go with handicap debutant SKY MOON. The Peter Fahey trained colt was disappointingly beaten at Dundalk on two occasions in October when sent off favourite. He ran a nice race to finish eighth of seventeen on his return to action at Navan a fortnight ago, and with Oisin Orr booked to ride now, it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Joseph O'Brien's Munaajaat, Austin Leahy's Ecoeye (first time blinkers) and dual winner Nisior Donn are a few others for the shortlist, but in truth a case can be made for many more.
