FormscanBy Tom Weekes - LARQUEBUSE's form can be a little in and out but seemed to get things together when winning at Leopardstown recently and should take beating if reproducing that form. She has hinted at having smart ability on occasions and having powered home to a dead-heat win at Fairyhouse in November, was then beaten by Well Set Up at Cork when upped to three miles. However her latest effort was a taking win at Leopardstown and that effort was quite smart. Scarlet And Dove is a very interesting runner in that she comes here with plenty potential. She won a bumper on debut and while she disappointed following a 392 days layoff at today's venue over Christmas, showed vast progression to win her maiden hurdle easily at Navan recently. She looks a mare with potential and should give the selection plenty to worry about. Well Set Up is very much proven at this level having failed by a nose to win last year's renewal. She returned a novice this season and produced some fine efforts, winning at Grade 3 and Listed level and finishing second at Grade 2 level. However her latest effort was her only real disappointing career run and she now needs to revert to her best to maintain Cork form with a possibly progressive LARQUEBUSE. Bay Ambition was left clear to win a handicap at Thurles latest but faces a stiffer task today.
